CleanMode began with a part-time job and a student a long way from home. Sunny Rana moved to New Zealand in 2010 to study, and like many students, took on cleaning work to help pay his way through university — early starts, late finishes, and shifts squeezed around lectures.

What started as a way to make ends meet slowly became something more. Sunny found he genuinely cared about the work: the satisfaction of handing back a spotless space, and the trust that came from clients who knew the job would be done properly, every time. He learned the trade from the ground up — not just how to clean, but how to show up, communicate clearly, and treat every property as if it were his own.

Over more than a decade, that part-time job grew into a career, and eventually into CleanMode — a Wellington-based cleaning company built on the same standards Sunny set for himself as a student. Wellington became home, and looking after the spaces its businesses and residents rely on became the work he wanted to build his name around.

Today, CleanMode brings that same care to offices, Airbnbs, schools and more across the region. The business has grown, but the principle hasn't changed: do the job properly, be someone people can count on, and stand behind every clean.
